Aster's April Fools Prank
It was a beautiful and sunshiney April 1st. The sun was shining and the birds were singing. Aster groaned as the first ray of sunshine filtered through his window. With reluctance, Aster sat up and rubbed at his eyes. He didn’t get to bed till late at night and he was still tired. Aster found it hard to open his eyes, his eyelids heavy with tiredness. It took him several minutes to wake up before jumping out of bed. “Time to get out of bed” he mumbled. Aster stretched, the bones in his legs making a popping sound. He yawned and made his way to the bathroom to freshen up. Aster grabbed his toothbrush and brushed his teeth, making sure to get his snaggletooth nice and clean. Next, he grabbed a comb and tidied up his messy hair. He even used his claws to untangle the fluff around his face. Once done freshening up, Aster made his way out of the bathroom and to his closet.
Aster pulled out his favorite twofer hoodie and his leg warmers, pulling the leg warmers on first. His hoodie went over his head next. Aster pulled the hoodie down and ran his paw down the front to remove all of the wrinkles. He ran his paw through his hair as he made his way to the door of his bedroom, padding softly down the stairs upon exiting. Aster walks into the kitchen and makes himself some toast before heading out of the house. He never really ate much in the mornings due to him not being very hungry when he woke up. Before walking to the front door, Aster checked the calendar on the wall to see what day it was. What he saw made him smile.
“It’s April 1st” he said with a smirk. “The one day I can prank.” Aster chuckled darkly and walked over to a closet situated a little ways from the front door. He opened the door and grabbed out a satchel that contained many devices for pranking. Aster rifled through the bag for a while before finding the tool he was looking for. He grabbed out a joy buzzer. “The simplest makes the best pranks.” Aster chuckled, slipping the buzzer into his hoodie pocket, “Now to find someone I can prank.” Aster stood up from his spot in front of the closet and made his way towards the front door. The fresh April air hit Aster as he opened the door and he took a deep breath in. “What a beautiful day for pranking.”
It took several hours of walking around, looking for a fellow Isopup to prank before Aster made it to the beach. He just hadn’t been able to find the right one. After starting at the shore for a few minutes, Aster spotted an orange and white Isopup standing next to a cream and blue pup. The two seemed to be having a conversation. Aster eyed the blue one for a couple more minutes before smirking devilishly. “Bingo,” he muttered. Aster made his way over to the two, slipping his paw into his hoodie pocket to grab the little pranking device. “Hey guys! How’s it going?! The name’s Aster!” Aster called as he approached the two. “Hello!” the orange one replied, “Everything’s going good. I’m Tiger and this is Tuna.” Tiger motioned to the blue pup next to him as he introduced her.
“Nice to meet you Tuna, Tiger” Aster said, holding out his paw to shake. Tuna looked at him for a moment, confused. “You’re supposed to shake my paw” Aster clarified. Tuna grabbed his paw and felt a jolt run through her paw. She jerked her paw away and glared at Aster, a growl rising in her throat. Tiger, who had seen the buzzer in Aster’s paw, began to laugh. “April Fools!” Aster sang. Tuna’s growl became louder and the next thing Aster knew, Tuna was chasing him, teeth ready to tear into him. Aster laughed as he ran, not too worried about getting caught. He tripped every once in a while but was able to get up quick enough to not get caught. At this point, Tiger was on the floor and rolling around laughing. It took several hours before Tuna began to calm down and Aster collapsed on the ground, chest heaving.
“Honestly though,” Aster said between breaths, “It was really nice to meet y’all.” Aster turned his head from where he was laying to look at Tiger and Tuna. Tuna still had a glare on her face and Tiger was just starting to calm down from his laughing fit. “Never do that again,” Tuna said. “Wouldn’t dream of it.” Aster replied, “Anywho, I should probably be heading home.” Aster pulled himself up and got to his feet. “See ya” Tiger said. Aster dusted himself off and began to walk away. Aster turned halfway down the beach and waved. In the distance, Tiger waved back. Aster smiled and turned back around, heading back the way he came. “Today was a good day.”
