Story: 

-CHILDHOOD -

Born in 19⬛️⬛️, it had been a few years after that dreaded war. Along came a basket decorated in sea shells, fishhooks & seaweed assumed to be there from the journey. There was a note on the handle held on by a knife, first confused on the design & material of the basket & also the fact the knife stayed on there. They decided to read the note. Inside the Note [ Dear people of earth, this was sent off to save my little boy. I've sent him down her because I am in grave danger. Please give him a loving home. ] After reading the note, the group who had found the basket now even more confused open it up to see a little fluffy isopup inside a oversized hat as of it was a bed. Inside the note was a name engraved on it. "FISHHOOK". One of the group members was a couple willing to adopt the little pup not knowing what he really was. Years pass onto his childhood when he was around age 8, he had a whole friend group he would hang by at the shore. Always fishing & having racing contest. Or chilling at the beach with some cola. 

TEENAGE HOOD - ADULT HOOD 

He was quite the looked up upon guy in high school mainly due tothe fact of his incredible fishing skills. Was planning on going to fishing competitions around the area since it was a big fishing town. After high school since nothing big happened much there. He was now a big well known fishcatcher in the competition. While waiting for another competition to happen, a hurricane struck & damaged many houses including the house of the couple who took him in. He ran to the house as fast as he could because it was only 15 minutes away. Unfortunately the couple who lived there were sleeping & a tree from the neighbor next-door had fell on top of the couples bedroom. Crushing them due to the incredible size & age of the tree. Afterwards he was heavily upset & depressed, he quit the competitions for a good while to grieve about the loss of the ones who brought him in & brought him to this stage of life. A year later, it was the anniversary of the the tragic hurricane & he was bringing flowers & a fishing rod he bought from the store. While placing them down he looked up to a woman around his age crying at a another tombstone in front of him. The woman was assumed to be a breed of shark, when you ask him which one he won't reply. He ran up to the woman & asked her what's wrong. She said that her brother had died to the hurricane as well. He tried comforting her by telling her he'll help & take her to the local restaurant nearby. When they got there he ordered some burgers & they began to talk about their losses. After awhile they became great friends & even planned going on a trip to Florida. During the trip they went to a cafe near the beach. After dinner it was dark & the ocean was shining with the moonlight glow. Out of nowhere Daniel got down on his knees & confessed his feelings for her & how much she's like a soulmate to him. He proposed to her. She had said yes with tears in her eyes from the joy. Their wedding was held not long after, it went well with minor accidents from the ungrateful children that were forced to come along by family members. They were happy. For now.......

-THE EVENT-

Five years of marriage, they lived happily. His wife was a kindergarten teacher & he went back into the fishing competition community. Everything was great. One day they decided to move to ⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️. A small island with a rich history or great community, plus a great group that wanted to keep the island safe. After moving they settled down in the main part of town. Many people loved them & greeted them to the community. One neighbor said "Welcome folks to ⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️, I hope you enjoy it here. Just to let you know the founding family here is holding a party at their mansion. Every townie is invited." Hearing this news they were overwhelmed with joy. Although something came up, Daniel had broken his ankle a few days before the event. His wife said he'll be fine if he doesn't go, besides she'll bring him some treats & gifts when she gets back. But she never came back. Few people came back, or at least uninjured. Something came up. The last guest that came which is still unidentified had blown out the lights & ventilation. After police had arrived, they went to the power box outside & saw incredible claw marks on it. Thankfully they turned it back on. What they found was beyond disturbing. It was so bad some veterans  of the force quit in total. The scene was incredible. 357 people had came in total, 98 came out alive and barely injured, 29 came back badly injured. & the rest are beyond dead. No specific cases of how they were found dead, the least bad one which is the only one reviled to the public was a unidentifiable body of what professionals guess is a jackal. Dr. ⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️ said " It's body was mangled & it's upper legs are completely destroyed. It's finger nails & teeth are completely ripped off. It was found inside of the freezer room." His wife was sadly one of the ones who didn't make it out alive. 

-PRESENT-

He is a old sturn man who lives on the coast of the town & owns a shop in which he sells fish of all kinds, or at least the ones you commonly eat. A lot of teens throw rocks at his house but likely he has a guard "dog" named Mermaid, it's really just a huge feral great white shark that let's chase the goons away. She gets treats afterwards (No it's not the teens). Daniel said he keeps her as a reminder of his beloved wife from so long ago.
